The Metro Museum

This was the definitely the best touristy must see that I went to. I could have spent days here.

All Tomorrow's Parties

The guitarist from Dead Meadow

Wayne Coyne from the Flaming Lips driving around in his golf buggy

A drunk human pyramid

Sinead relaxing

The lake

The venue was quite weird. It was run down with a disused ice skating rink, pool and very squeaky rusty old swings. It's the perfect place to film a b-grade titty horror flick.

The Hotel Chelsea

I loved this place. Art everywhere and music spilling out of all the rooms. I stayed here my first two nights in ny. I had a david lynch moment at 4.30am on my first night. You couldn't get a more perfect place to have a david lynch moment! From a deep sleep I woke up to the sound of an old fashioned telephone ringing with a long pause in between the rings. For a couple of seconds I had absolutely no idea where the hell I was and what the hell was happening. When I realised I was in ny and at the chelsea I was happy. It was good news. My bag that didn't come out on the carousel at the airport (I was told that it was somewhere in america) had finally arrived in ny and was dropped off, back in my possession, cameras and all. Ahh, the relief, I now had clothes.

The apartment on 1st Ave

The lower east side was awesome. I stayed here with Sinead and paid next to nothing for this great fully furnished apartment. Downstairs of the apartment block was a great music shop and every time I walked in or out they were playing really cool stuff. Ate great food around here, saw some great music, found some great vintage clothes shops and just walked, and walked and walked. Many good times were had...

The loft in Williamsburg

There were so many things about Williamsburg I loved. The people I met and caught up with while I was staying here was the best thing about this part of the trip so thanks Chad, Dona, Lisa, Toby, Maarten, Lieu, Marty and Jane. Heaps of interesting people around on the streets, vintage clothes shops galore and good food & coffee everywhere. I felt quite at home in Williamsburg. Yep, I could live there.

I love new york!
